A trusted business partner for outplacement, workplace coaching, workshops and assessing.
How we help
We understand that workplace coaching, outplacement and people challenges are rarely the only things on your desk.
Most leaders, HR professionals and business owners are juggling multiple priorities, competing demands and limited time.
If you have a people challenge that would benefit from external support, let's have a conversation. If we're confident we can help, we'll tell you. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you that too.
No complicated sales process. No pressure. Just one human helping another solve a workplace challenge using the knowledge, experience and perspective they've gained along the way.

Choosing an outplacement provider is about more than programs, portals and impressive KPIs.
It's about knowing your employees will be supported by experienced professionals who understand the realities of redundancy, career transition and today's employment market.
For more than 14 years, Careers West has helped organisations navigate restructures, redundancies and organisational change. We understand the practical considerations before, during and after workforce transitions and work alongside organisations to make the process as smooth and supportive as possible.
Our approach is built on three simple principles: Clarity, Support and Movement.
In today's world, information is easy to find. Employees can access AI tools, job boards, resume templates and interview advice within minutes. The challenge is knowing which advice applies to their situation, what actions are worth taking and what their next step should be.
That's where experience matters.
Our clients deal directly with the practitioners delivering the service. No handovers between sales teams and consultants. No complicated processes. Just practical, personalised support tailored to the needs of the individual and organisation.
We also offer onsite announcement-day support, allowing employees to access assistance immediately following redundancy notifications. For many organisations, knowing support is available from day one provides reassurance for both leaders and employees during a difficult time.
Not every exit is a clear redundancy. We regularly support organisations with complex or sensitive employee exits where additional guidance, transition support or independent coaching can help reduce stress and support a better outcome for everyone involved.
From individual employee transitions through to larger organisational change programs, Careers West provides practical, personalised support designed to meet the needs of both organisations and employees.
At the end of the day, our goal is simple: to help organisations manage workplace change responsibly while helping employees regain momentum and move forward with confidence.

Some workplace challenges don't need more meetings. They need movement.
For more than 14 years, Careers West has helped organisations move forward when workplace conflict, leadership challenges, performance concerns, workplace stress and employee issues have become difficult to resolve internally.
Our approach is built on three simple principles: Clarity, Support and Movement.
When situations become stuck, people often don't need more information. They need clarity about what's really happening, support to navigate the challenge and a practical path forward.
The ways workplace coaching can help get things moving again are far and wide. What we've found time and again is that new perspectives create new possibilities. When employees gain greater clarity about their situation, understand their options and feel supported through the process, momentum often follows.
We have seen workplace coaching help shift situations that had remained unresolved for months. Not because the solution was complicated, but because someone finally had the opportunity to step back, gain perspective and identify a way forward.
Every coaching engagement is tailored to the individual, the workplace and the challenge at hand.
Our goal is simple: to help people move through workplace challenges with dignity while helping organisations regain momentum in situations that have become difficult, uncertain or stuck.

A good tool won't solve every problem. Knowing when and how to use it often will.
Over the years, Careers West has developed and adopted a range of tools, frameworks and facilitation approaches designed to help individuals, teams and organisations gain clarity, build understanding and create momentum.
Our toolbox includes LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®, MBTI®, Saville Wave®, Saville Wave 360°, The Sandbox Method, CINERGY® Conflict Coaching, Alternative Dispute Resolution approaches, practical AI tools for career transition and our own Careers West Clarity, Support, Movement Framework.
We also offer a range of workshops, presentations and facilitated discussions covering topics within career transition, leadership development, workplace communication, multigenerational workforces, employee development and industry upskilling.
Our current favourite tool is LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®. Using LEGO bricks to build our thinking allows people to explore ideas, uncover insights and solve problems in ways that traditional discussions often don't. It can be used for team development, strategic planning, leadership development, workplace challenges and a wide range of organisational conversations.
One of our most requested presentations currently explores how AI can support job seekers and career professionals. In a world where anyone can ask AI to write a resume, the real skill lies in knowing which prompts to use, which advice to trust and how to turn AI-generated content into something authentic, credible and effective.
If you're unsure what approach is right for your situation, get in touch. We'd be happy to discuss the challenge and help determine the best path forward.

Occupational Medicine
Sometimes workplace challenges extend beyond coaching, career transition or employee development and require specialist occupational health expertise.
Through Dr Miguel Kabilio, Consultant Occupational and Environmental Physician, Careers West can provide access to occupational medicine services where appropriate.
This additional perspective can be particularly valuable when organisations are navigating complex health, fitness for work, return to work or workplace health matters and require specialist medical input alongside broader workplace support.
Like all Careers West services, the focus remains on helping organisations gain clarity, understand their options and move forward with confidence.
Career Exploration Through LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®
Careers West delivered a two-session LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® program for Year 9 students studying Career and Enterprise, helping them explore their strengths, future aspirations and possible career pathways.
Using LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®, students identified personal strengths, explored their ideal future and developed practical actions to help bridge the gap between where they are today and where they want to be.
The project highlighted how LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® can create deeper engagement, richer conversations and fresh perspectives on career planning.
